We had a lovely stay with my wife’s family and our one-year-old. The four-room apartment had three beds and one bathroom, and the first bedroom also served as the living room. Every room was fantastic and very clean, with a fridge and TV. We had trouble because the groupon (Slovak equivalent) didn’t say we needed a travel cot, but the owner went out and bought one for us. The food was excellent, and the owner and staff were very welcoming. Ordering was no problem despite my basic Slovak. There’s a good restaurant up the road from the Vila, and it’s only a ten-minute drive to some fantastic hiking trails around the high tatras. Parking is limited, though possible, and the staff helped us find a spot. 10/10, I’d encourage more tourists to stay!

The hostess’s behavior was horrible. On the last day, she asked us to move to another room because other people were coming. When I said no, she told me I could go home if I wouldn’t move. We were disappointed with the rest of the stay, too. Although parking was listed, there wasn’t really any. The road outside the víla was tiny, cars struggled to get through, and I nearly crashed. We asked for an early breakfast before hiking, but nothing vegetarian was prepared. Our bin was left full of trash, and they didn’t replenish the toilet paper. There was only one roll the whole time.

We had a pleasant stay, and the staff were very nice and helpful, even when we arrived late. We booked two rooms, but they weren’t alike, one was considerably more luxurious than the other. Otherwise, the rooms and prices were standard.

Pretty disappointing. I had a reservation and sent two emails with a question, but after three days there was still no reply. Communication just isn’t working.

The garden is a real pleasure to look at, with fish and pools of crystal-clear water. The staff are super friendly, and the amazing breakfast says a lot about the quality of the place. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed, a 10/10.
