Soňa led us on a lovely walk in the forest, and we even spotted several salamanders. We’d come for a weekend with a small group, and the rain gave us time to slow down, chat, and connect without digital distractions. The fresh smell of the mountain forest afterward was something else. It turned into a really lovely stay.
We found the area beautiful and well suited for trips, and the cogway stop is just a few hundred meters away. The Apartments are well equipped, and even offer tickets for the ride. The garden, surrounded by the Apartments, feels very private. The host was very kind, and the place felt magical. Thank you!
Chaty Tatra has a well-equipped kitchen and pantry, plus a generous dining room if you’d rather eat in. It’s a wonderful cottage for getting close to nature, with clear creeks, waterfalls, some caves, and quite a few trails. The location is convenient: about a 15-minute walk to the train, then a 10-minute ride to Štrbske Pleso. From there, you can reach beautiful trails of all difficulty levels. The trails are impressive, with plenty of places to eat along the way.
We had a good winter stay here. The fireplace, kitchen, and cute room made it a cozy, relaxing spot in the mountains. It’s clean and simple, and I’d come back.
