There’s a bar and a small restaurant downstairs, and the meals are tasty and not expensive. Rooms are clean and nice, with good views from the windows, and the bathroom is good. There’s also a modern shared toilet downstairs. Getting here on foot means walking along the edge of a busy road, which isn’t practical, though it’s easy to reach by car. Tatranská Štrba is about a 15-minute walk away, with a railway station where you can catch trains to your destination, including the Tatra electric trains.

For what we paid, it was okay compared with other hotels in the area at the time. Still, the bed wasn’t comfortable, the food was average, and the room was old and needed maintenance. I also noticed dust around the room.

The food is basic and the portions are small, so it’s not worth stopping here, especially with much better places nearby. This place’s best days are long past. I assume the motorway opening is partly to blame, since it diverted the traffic.
