Hotel Elizabeth

At the cafe, we had a lovely dinner. The server had great ideas for both food and drinks, everything was nicely presented, and the price was reasonable. We'd be happy to return to this hotel when we're in Trencin.

The hotel was lovely and well kept, and the staff were helpful and friendly. But what really stood out was breakfast. It wasn't the biggest spread, though it was one of the best presented we've had while traveling. Everything tasted fresh and good, and I loved having unlimited espresso from the machines. I told the breakfast manager how much I enjoyed it, and he asked me to leave a review, so here it is.

I'm back again, and still find the hotel very comfortable. The staff are friendly and know their stuff, breakfast is excellent, and the location is brilliant.

The luggage situation is what left a bad taste after an otherwise pretty good stay. At checkout I asked if I could leave my bags for two hours while I explored the city before my train. They said I could, but at my own risk. There's no storage room, so they suggested leaving my luggage unattended behind the lifts, in the area used as the hotel's business centre. For the best hotel in the city, and a four-star one, I expected much more. I've never seen anything like it, and I travel a lot. The staff were really nice and check-in was smooth. My booking included two hours of spa use, which you have to reserve ahead. I booked for 5pm when I arrived. There were two families with children at the pool, which made it less relaxing, though they left half an hour later. The floors by the pool and saunas were extremely slippery and felt dangerous. I don't understand why they chose and installed that kind of flooring. I loved the sauna area by the pool, with its four different types of sauna. My single room was spacious and nicely decorated, and breakfast was a feast that I really enjoyed.
