The room was huge and so comfortable, with loads of storage and a massive, comfy bed. The lobby feels more like an airport or shopping centre than a standard hotel, which is a bit different. The restaurant wasn't for us, since it focuses entirely on sushi and has nothing else, and the bar was underwhelming. There's a bowling alley, but we didn't have time to try it. The welcome was hard to take: the artificial air freshener smell at the entrance was extremely strong and unpleasant, and made my eyes water. The compact, dark wellness area felt intimate, and the other saunas were nice, but the hammam needs maintenance. There were piles of loose tiles and a musty smell. It's about a 15-minute walk from the city centre, with a scenic route along the river. The women at reception, in the restaurant, and in wellness were very polite. We enjoyed our short stay at Magnus, especially the good wellness, great breakfast, and super-comfy room.

I stay here often, and this hotel is my number one. The rooms are cozy and spacious, and breakfast is excellent and luxurious, included in the price. The Japanese restaurant serves delicious food with pleasant service. The bar and bowling alley both exceeded my expectations. The location is great too, with plenty of places to eat nearby and a 12-minute walk to the old town. Reception is open 24/7. We love it!
