Grand Bellevue

We’ve been returning to the Grand Hotel Bellevue since the 1980s, but the service we received in 2025 was the worst we’ve ever experienced and simply unacceptable. At check-in, we told Zuzanna at reception that our room was uncomfortably hot, around 24°C, and asked to move. We were immediately told that wasn’t possible because the hotel was full, and that maintenance would sort it out. Nothing changed. We were later told the sun exposure and central heating meant nothing could be done. We checked online and saw rooms available on both the hotel website and Booking.com. We brought this up with Patrik and asked for the duty manager. Viktor showed us several worse rooms, said none were available for two nights, and wouldn’t offer two rooms as a solution. We later found out Viktor was the Food & Beverage manager, not the Front-of-house duty manager. The next day, we asked again to speak to the duty manager. We waited a couple of hours for the scheduled meeting, but the manager never showed up. Eventually, Zuzanna showed us an acceptable room that hadn’t been offered the day before. Service at Front of House and Wellness reception was extremely poor. The hotel also lacked basic 4* toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and sanitary products. On the positive side, breakfast and dinner had an excellent variety, and everything was delicious. The restaurant staff were extremely helpful and professional. The spa and wellness area had an impressive range of saunas with different temperatures, humidity levels, and scents, as well as pools, a jacuzzi, a plunge pool, and several comfortable places to relax. The masseur was very experienced and gave a great, thorough massage.
