The free ski pass for chalet guests was a real bonus, especially compared with what others pay for a day. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return, and we’re already recommending Subin chalet to friends. It’s beautifully put together, with high end appliances and finishes, and we loved every part of it. The one drawback was the whirlpool bath. It’s outside the upper floor chalet, so getting there means walking and using stairs. It was too cold to keep going up and down outside, so we only used it once. There also wasn’t much privacy while the other chalet was occupied, which it was during our stay. I guess the location is outside the owner’s control. Well done Wellness Penzion Strachan.

The food was plentiful and delicious, the rooms were excellent, and the wellness service was good. The staff were nice, too. There were some problems: communication in foreign languages was poor, and we were given incorrect information about lunch being included. We later had to pay for it. The room had slatted tables, the ski slope is small, and the stay was relatively expensive.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean with all the basics we needed, including sauna towels and a coffee machine. We especially liked the cozy sauna and the open air jacuzzi. It’s a lovely place with fantastic mountain views, and we’d definitely come back.

The food was nice, and the interior was in good shape with a lovely design. There’s a unique, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They’re also great with dogs, including big ones.

The view of the Tatras from the restaurant terrace was wonderful, and we enjoyed the perfect wellness facilities at the Bachledka Strachan hotel. Our stay at Wellness Penzion Strachan was great, too, with tasteful Ruthenian-highlander accommodation and kind, friendly staff. I only wish the Pension had a cooling tub like the Bachledka Hotel. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.
