The room was clean and had a spacious balcony, though mine smelled of cigarettes despite a sign asking guests not to smoke and the balcony being available. The bed was okay, but the towels were quite hard. There's a fridge, but no minibar or safe. Breakfast was decent, with bread, some ham and cheese, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee, plus eggs if you ask. Staff were very friendly, and there’s a 24-hour reception with a bar but no restaurant. It's a decent hotel near the city centre. Without the cigarette smell, I'd have rated it five stars.

The meal itself was average, nothing special or especially tasty, and the salad was really old. Service was a mess during the lunch menu: the waitress forgot our table, then came back much later to ask what we'd ordered. Dessert arrived before anything else, so we ate it while waiting another ten minutes for the soups. Meanwhile, another waitress asked whether we'd already eaten the main course. We told her we were still waiting for soup :D

The staff were very friendly, and the lobby had draft beer for 1.90 Euro per half liter. The room setup was unusual to me as an American: three single mattresses, each with just a bottom sheet, a quilt and a pillow. All in all, it was a good stay.
