At Hotel Danubia, the extra costs added to my disappointment. Parking and access to the wellness facilities were charged separately, which took away from the value I expected at this level. Breakfast was another letdown: the sushi was dry and hard, and tasted as though it had been sitting out for days. That left me concerned about its quality and handling. The room stayed cold at night despite my attempts to adjust the temperature. On top of that, the reception area was loud even late at night, with constant conversation and movement that made it hard to relax after a long day. The noise, chilly room, poor breakfast and added charges made the stay fall short of my expectations. The hotel has potential, but in its current state I can't recommend it.

We had to turn down the daily menu because we needed to be at another appointment, but we'd like to come back and try it. It was great to spend time in the hotel's relaxation centre, and the reception staff were really helpful and nice.

The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, with a huge selection. Boutique Hotel Dubná Skala is right in the centre of Žilina, just a short walk from the main square. I had a great stay and would say it's a great place to stay when visiting Žilina.

I had a good stay overall, but one hotel clerk with yellow hair was selfish and unkind. I asked her to check on cancelling my deposit, and she kept saying she didn't have an invoice and that I had to provide one. I explained several times that I must have paid the deposit, but she treated me like I was lying. I eventually found the receipt in my app and showed it to her. She apologized, but her manner had been bad and aggressive. If you're staying at hotel dubna skala hotel comfortable, make sure to keep the deposit receipt ^^

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and their English was excellent. My room had stunning views over the mountains, and the hotel sits right in the heart of Zilina. Breakfast was what really set the place apart: a divine spread of fresh, high-quality food with so much variety. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zilina.
