Hotel Villa Necas

Breakfast had lots to choose from and tasted really good, and the mattresses were amazing. The rooms are nice, and the place was easy to find. At night there wasn’t hot water, just water that was kind of warm, though it was manageable. We were told they planned to fix it the following weekend. One small drawback was the bathroom being part of the room, with a lot of glass, including the door. Still, it was an awesome place 👍

We really enjoyed the pool in the wellness area. The hotel is in a nice old manor house, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast was delicious.

The staff were friendly and helpful, though they weren’t fully fluent in English. We managed, and international sign language helped too. Our bedroom was one of several unique options, ranging from small rooms to suites. We only ate breakfast there, so I can’t say from experience how the other food is, though I’ve heard it’s lovely. The shaded balcony was a highlight, with stunning views of the hills on three sides. It’s a quaint, clean little hotel on a side street near the city centre, and it even has its own mausoleum. I wonder what it was in its past life.

I was satisfied with the beautiful garden and the exterior, and the Villa’s camera-monitored parking made me feel protected. In our room, though, one power outlet didn’t work, so I had to unplug the lights to charge my phone. That’s probably something they’ll fix soon. The red carpet flooring could also be improved. During our visit, the spa wasn’t functioning, and the Winery wasn’t operating like a regular Winery. If you book a deluxe room, you’ll probably be more than satisfied with your stay.
