MADO is in a village on another hill, so it isn’t in the historic center itself. The drive to the actual city takes around 15 minutes. For the low price, though, this place is nearly ideal for a night or two. The rooms seem to have been renovated within the last five years, and they’re very clean and surprisingly spacious. The interior is a matter of taste, but it fits San Marino’s overall aesthetic. I’d recommend this hotel and would happily come back.

We were two couples, and the spacious rooms in this classic setting worked perfectly for us. Everything was very clean and tidy, and the accommodation was excellent for the price in a lovely little village just a short drive from main San Marino. Parking was easy to find offsite, very close by. Self check-in and checkout were straightforward with the instructions sent in advance, and communication with the host was good. There’s also a nice cafe / bar a minute away beside the church, with excellent breakfast options like pastries, coffee, juice, and more.

It’s a lovely village near the city of San Marino, and the stay was very affordable. The room was nice, though a little run down in places. Staff were easy to reach online but weren’t often there in person. That didn’t bother me, since the instructions were clear and everything I needed was available.
