I wouldn’t recommend this place. There wasn’t any water in the toilet, or paper or towels. The bed had no sheets, just a blanket, and the portable air conditioner made an unbearable racket. No breakfast was available, and they didn’t even provide a bottle of water.

Ms. Ba was so welcoming, kind, and helpful. The guesthouse is quiet and set back from the road, with everything clean and the basic amenities provided. It’s around a 15-20 minute drive from central Dakar. For its location, the value for money is hard to beat. I’d recommend staying here.

The concierge was professional and very helpful, which is why I’m giving two stars. The advertised photos and the place itself were completely different. There was a duvet in a room with a barely working fan, so I asked for a sheet instead. The concierge said the manager had locked everything away. The rooms felt more like transit rooms, and smelled strongly of tobacco. I called the manager, Ms. Ba, but she didn’t answer and then hung up on me. They also had no bath towels, toilet paper, or Wi-Fi, despite advertising those things. It’s frustrating to make the trip and find the promised conditions aren’t there. And if you’re afraid of big cockroaches, don’t stay here.
