I was already shaken after being attacked in the street on my way to collect a package a friend had left here. I asked the hotel to help me get a taxi, but the fare they quoted was already far too high. I specifically checked whether they could explain where I wanted to go to the driver and confirm the price, and they said yes. After a long time stuck in traffic, the driver became very aggressive and seemed ready to get physical. I paid what we'd agreed, but he demanded double and was outraged. As a woman, I felt deeply unsafe and scammed. I hope the hotel makes sure future taxis treat tourists better. I'm grateful I wasn't attacked or assaulted again, and ashamed that a hotel would send guests and visitors with these drivers. It was such a bad experience that I can only assume the hotel is as bad as the drivers it offers.

The ocean view, the building, the 50mt pool and all the surrounding nature made for a magical stay. It could use some maintenance, sure, but I had an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

The hotel has clearly seen better days, and it feels long overdue for a proper renovation. My room was dated, with parts of the floor, toilet, sockets and ethernet ports falling apart. The furniture on the tiny balcony looked like it came from a roadside cafe. There was only one person handling reception and check-in, so they were overwhelmed and not much help. No one showed me to my room either, which made for a poor welcome. Food was another disappointment. The restaurant didn't seem like a place I'd want to eat, whether at breakfast or later. Breakfast had hardly any variety, wasn't presented well, and the random tables and lack of cutlery made the setting just as bad. The Wi-Fi was poor too, so don't rely on it. A local SIM and tethering is a better bet. Even the airport Wi-Fi is better. Staff seemed not to care, and every interaction felt like an afterthought. Maybe they're feeling the effects of bad management, or maybe the place is in decline. Either way, I can't recommend staying here under any circumstances. It doesn't do justice to Dakar's vibrancy.

The peaceful tropical garden feel, sea view, and lovely location are real highlights. Rooms were clean and spacious, and the pool was great for relaxing in the sun, at 10.000 per person. You can get to the beach too, though it's rocky. The staff were great, and I recommend the tasty burger for 6500 franc. There were a lot of mosquitos, though.

The grounds look nicely kept as you're taken to your room, but that's about where the good impression ends. The rooms are very dated, with stains on the carpet and furniture, and only kind of clean. For what it costs, this was one of my most disappointing hotel bookings. The location isn't great either, with restaurants at least a 20 minute walk away. After reading other reviews of the onsite restaurant, I didn't try it. I'm sure there are better hotels nearby.
