Hotel Riu Baobab - All Inclusive

My boyfriend and I went to Riu Baobab for a romantic holiday and loved it all. The all-inclusive service runs nonstop, there are lots of bars and several pools with different features, including warm water, a swim-up bar, and a long lap pool. The gift shop was cheap, and the food offered an enormous range of dishes. We especially liked the Asian restaurant. The gym was okay, and I had two brilliant massages. There was plenty on during the day and evening, including a disco bar open every night. Everyone at the hotel, bars, spa, and animation team was welcoming and pleasant, always smiling and helpful. We highly recommend this resort. Thanks for having us.

The scale of the resort means there are some long walks between places, but the open space, lovely landscape, and architecture make it feel relaxing and impressive. RIU Baobab is way out in the middle of nowhere, which is part of its charm. Activities run throughout the day, so people of all ages have plenty to do. It was an amazing trip and absolutely worth it. I'd definitely go back and recommend it to anyone visiting Senegal.

The 50-meter pool was excellent for swimming, though the water park was quite cold. The beach palm trees were much taller than they looked in the brochures. Food was varied and delicious, and I'd especially recommend the Italian restaurant. The staff were all polite and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. My only complaints were that the drinks in the main restaurant, tea included, tasted of chlorine, and one gym fixture stayed broken for two weeks.

The beach behind the hotel is quiet and blissful, with activities, coconut trees, and the Atlantic rolling in calmly through the day. The resort is a long way from dakar, though. Without family in Senegal, like me, getting there could be difficult or expensive because it's so out of the way. Still, for a luxury stay, I'd recommend it. I've never stayed somewhere better. It had everything I needed, from a prayer room and several restaurants to a gym and pool, and it was spotless when I arrived. I didn't see any rubbish during my stay, which says a lot about the hard-working staff. In my opinion, they're severely underpaid. I hope they get what they deserve in the future.
