Chez Lilie Maison d'hôtes à Saly

We spent a family weekend at Chez Lili in Saly. It's tucked away a bit, so we called a driver whenever we needed to go somewhere, but it made for a peaceful stay. The rooms were clean, and housekeeping came when requested. The children liked the play area, tortoises, and games room with video games. The food was good too. I'd recommend it if you're after somewhere quiet.

My kids, 8 and 6, had a fantastic time, and we'd happily come back 😉. There was loads for different ages: bikes, scooters, outdoor games, swings, trampolines, and more. The pool is big and the slide is great. Adults can play foosball or billiards, or use the TV and game console. The meals were delicious and carefully prepared, and breakfast was great, with a different dish every day. Our room was spacious and had air conditioning. The staff were attentive and available, and the whole place felt pleasant and peaceful. Nothing to complain about. Thanks so much!

The kids loved all the equipment, and the evening meals were very good, but there were serious gaps in safety: the trampoline net wouldn't close, the bikes had no brakes, and there was broken glass on the playroom floor. Breakfast was less successful. It starts at 8:30, but wasn't ready until around 9:00, which is tough with children who wake much earlier. The first small coffee is free, but the second costs extra, which seems odd when breakfast is included. We weren't told about room service and had to ask for it, and the cot we'd requested turned out to be a sofa bed. After we posted a review on Booking.com, the owners sent a private message accusing us of defamation and threatening a lawsuit, so be careful what you write online 😅

The grounds and facilities were well kept, including the pool, games room, and basketball hoop. We stayed for six nights in March 2025 with my wife and our two children, choosing the place mainly for the pool and the kids' games. It's a little beyond the city center, but very quiet and relaxing. Binta deserves a special mention for sorting out the small unexpected problems efficiently. She was always available to help at the accommodation or accompany us around town. Thank you for the stay, Mr. Keita
