The location is nice, but management was lame and rigid. Our two dinners were awful because they refused to serve the kids anything before 20:00. We’d been asking since 14:00 and explaining that they’re usually asleep by 8 pm, and we’d already paid for the dinners. When we asked for peanuts, they wouldn’t even give us those. They also seem to think it’s acceptable in high-end accommodation to withhold toilet paper and small bottles of water for the room. Pathetic.

The lodge was beautiful, and I’m so grateful we got to spend time there. A special shout out to Dame, who manages the nautical center. We spent hours windsurfing, and he gave us lots of help and instructions. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

The staff made this stay stand out. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and bubbly, with such positive energy and professionalism that you couldn’t help picking it up too. We stayed four nights at the resort over New Year 2021/22, and it was an incredible time. The location is great and very child friendly. On New Year’s Eve, local musician TEX LBK played for us, which rounded off a brilliant experience. Saint Louis, Senegal’s former colonial capital, is close enough for a lovely day trip. I’d recommend getting a tour guide for around £10, since there’s so much to see and they know great places to visit.

We spent three nights here over the Christmas holidays. The gardens are beautiful and pleasant to hang out in during the day, with lots of different spots to choose from. There are several ways to spend your time, including windsurfing, sailing and kayaking. The bungalows are spacious, clean and convenient, though not luxurious. The restaurant is okay but not great, with limited choices. Downstairs and the pool are nice during the day, but in the evenings they insist on having the TV on all the time.

I love the feeling of being between the desert and the ocean here. The food is EXCELLENT, so it’s worth coming even just for a day escape.
