Sobo Bade

Sobo Bade is a special, artistic place with extraordinary architecture. Creative details are everywhere, and the beach view from the terrace is stunning. The staff are very kind, and the food we tried was really good.

The only things I liked were the girls who gave the massage and the courtyard bar overlooking the sea. The food was absolutely terrible. Breakfast was just old baguettes that had been put under the grill to freshen them up. My main dinner was dried-out, inedible fish, supposedly fresh, with badly cooked vegetables that seemed reheated. I managed two mouthfuls. The courtyard toilets are too basic and dirty, and the bathroom in the room was very basic too, not okay. The air conditioning had leaked and soaked the whole floor, and the towels were unpleasant.

The beachside relaxation area is stunning, and the place is every bit as crazy and visionary as it looks in the pictures, with charming, unusual corners to explore. The echoes of Parc Güell are unmistakable. You choose it for the experience, and it didn’t disappoint, but not for comfort. The rooms can be tiny and quite run-down. Service is professional, though I found the manager gloomy and cold, without the usual teranga welcome.

I brought American students here to practice drumming and painting, though I didn’t visit the room. The food was amazing, and the staff were very friendly. It’s a very romantic place to spend time with your loved one.
