The second room we were moved to had no mosquito net or plug-in repellent, even though mosquitoes are common in this area. We were exhausted by then, and it was late, but there was nothing offered to help us sleep. The manager was extremely rude and said it was our problem, adding that nobody else had complained. We live locally, and providing some way to deal with mosquitoes seems like the bare minimum for a decent night's sleep. This was our second stay and will be our last. There are plenty of other places nearby at a very similar price and with a much higher standard. The house itself has interesting, well-preserved architecture on the outside, and the location is fairly convenient, but the guesthouse service was quite terrible. The first room smelled horrible, and the mosquito net in it looked as though it had never been cleaned.

The people here were very friendly, and when my debit card failed at every ATM, the owner kindly exchanged some USD for local currency. I stayed a couple of nights. It’s in a great location, close to the church.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place is well situated near the Waterkant and the tourist area. I spent four nights here and enjoyed my stay. The rooms have the essentials, but don’t expect a five-star hotel. For a fair rate in Paramaribo, though, it’s a good choice. They sold water bottles at reception for less than a dollar and also contacted drivers for trips you might want to take, such as to French-Guiana. Just be aware that they don’t accept cards. Thanks, I had a nice stay.

The rooms are basic, but comfortable enough to rest before carrying on with your journey. I especially appreciated the swimming pool. Thanks to the people who run the place for keeping the price low in such a good location.

The air-conditioned room was a real plus, and the staff were kind. It’s a practical place in a great location. What you see is what you get, so bring your own klamboe or mosquito zapper.
