Hotel Palacio

The hotel was good, but the staff made the difference. The operations manager and owner went out of their way to help us sort out some difficult problems from other parts of our short trip. They could have stayed out of it, but they didn’t. You’ll be in good hands here.

My room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in the heart of historic Paramaribo, and everyone was very helpful, from showing me around the city to finding a good lodge for a trip along the Suriname River into the interior. You can feel how much the owner and staff care about the place. Highly recommended!

A real hidden gem, with clean, comfortable rooms in a safe neighborhood. Palacio is within walking distance of attractions, nightclubs, bars, and restaurants. Rochelle, the Front Desk Manager, was fantastic before, during, and after my trip. All the staff greeted me by name, which made me feel at home. I can’t praise the hotel enough.

I was sorry to have just one night at Hotel Palacio. Of the six places I stayed across three countries on this trip, it was easily the best. The location is central, the place is well maintained, and the common areas and room are really nice to look at. The bed was comfortable, the shower was delightful, the WiFi was great, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I even checked my reservation again because I couldn’t believe the value for the price. I’ll stay here next time I’m in Paramaribo.
