The shower in the bathroom could practically flood an ocean, just the way I like it. There’s free parking in their lot across the street, plus a pool and a great restaurant. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were nice. This was recommended to me because I’m used to high standards from Emirates 5 star hotels. I’d recommend it too. Hospitality in Suriname is getting raised to a higher standard here.

The food and drinks were okay, and the restaurant was acceptable, though we waited a bit longer than expected. The manager said everything was made fresh, but most of our dishes arrived lukewarm. We had booked ahead, and free garage parking for restaurant guests was handy. On arrival, though, the host checked our reservation and then started talking to the people behind us without explaining anything. We eventually understood we were meant to wait for a table, but nobody had told us.

We spent a week here, and the care taken to make the stay enjoyable really stood out. The amenities, meals, and service were all amazing, and they accommodated our toddler too. It was easily our best hotel experience in Suriname. If we return, we'll stay here again. Thanks to the staff for such a luxurious stay.

We ended up needing a place to stay after false friends left my wife Barbara and me stranded in Paramaribo in the middle of the night. We were in a foreign country where English wasn't spoken, so finding someone to talk with was a relief. At Yogh Hospitality Hotel, Timothy greeted us from the front desk in perfect English, listened to our situation, and kindly got our registration started. We were grateful to finally feel safe and welcome. The whole hotel looked brand new and was spotless. The glass and stainless steel elevators had room key security, and the glass back gave us a lovely view of the lobby and its giant Christmas tree as we went up. I've never seen a hotel elevator so sophisticated, secure, and clean. The next day we met our new friends Sonny, his wife Sunita, and their two daughters. We showed them our room, and Justin, our bellhop, opened the door with a big smile. Everyone we met there was friendly and made us feel at home. We enjoyed the lobby and Christmas tree, took pictures together, then relaxed and talked in our comfortable room, which had a lovely daytime view of Paramaribo. We had an early start the following morning. Timothy greeted us again and gave us prepared travel breakfast packages, a gesture we really appreciated. Justin helped with our bags when the driver arrived, and both he and Timothy saw us off like family. This became a story, not just a review, because the experience was so good. We hope to vacation in this beautiful country again and look forward to seeing our friends at Yogh Hospitality and staying at their hotel.
