Nice place, and the restaurant menu has a good mix of Portuguese and African food.

The hotel is quite nice, among the best on Sao Tomé, and the receptionist and the waitress on dinner service were great. Our night still ended up miserable when the air conditioning failed. With the concrete walls, the room felt very oppressive, and there was no way to ventilate it. Make sure the AC is working and you’re in for a great stay.

It’s a calm place, with a nice breakfast and friendly staff. But the mold on the walls left an unpleasant smell, and we only had cold water in the bathroom. The restaurant menu is limited, and the food felt a bit expensive compared with other places.

The pool water was dirty and cloudy, and the building felt damp, with stains on the walls and a terrible smell. Our room was very small, with little space around it. This isn’t a Roça, but a badly built new building. I really can’t understand the high rating, it must be rigged. There’s much better accommodation on the island. Just awful.

Dinner was delicious, whether we ordered traditional Sao tomense food or bolonhese pasta. The breakfast was amazing and very complete, and our comfortable room had A/C that worked perfectly. The ecolodge stay was everything we hoped for. I’ll book again if I return to São Tomé!
