La Ruta de Las Flores is a beautiful drive through El Salvador, and I’d definitely stay here again. The hotel is comfortable and reasonably priced, with rustic cabins and breakfast included if you choose that option. The typical breakfast was delicious. I’d also recommend the Sopa de Gallina India, worth the price, and I sent my compliments to the cook. The location is convenient, near the main highway and surrounded by lush nature. The food has improved a lot since my last visit, and I think the owner, a great lady who knows what she’s doing, is behind the positive changes I saw. My only complaint is that there’s no water in the rooms, which doesn’t make sense to me because it’s so cheap here. The manager should keep in mind that this kind of job requires a focus on good customer service, and I think his approach to customers is quite different.

The grounds are gorgeous, with a shady terrace, and breakfast was included and really good. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfy king-size bed and the TV with streaming services.

At Las cabañas apaneca hotel and restaurant, our toilet wouldn’t flush, and water pooled in the shower while we were using it. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, either. The rooms need maintenance, and although the restrooms are spacious and simple, there’s no table to put your things on. It’s an old building with no fan. You can leave the window open for fresh air if you like. There are more cabins around the lot down in the forest area, but the signal is very weak.

We had a really satisfying lunch. Everyone’s food was tasty, with generous portions, and the service was quick and good. The grounds and views are beautiful, too. It’s state-approved and uses filtered water, so there’s no need to worry. Give it a try!
