The dorm is nice and has lots of fans. The hostel is old and could definitely use fresh paint throughout. There's no light in the shower.

An easygoing backpacker hostel, with a dorm bed for $10 (October 2017). There's a nice balcony with a hammock, plus more hammocks in the recreation area.

This was my first hostel experience, and I loved it. A cute little house in the center of el cuco, close to the beach, stores, and restaurants. The staff were friendly.

A bed costs 10 dollars, and the staff are very friendly. It's only 3 minutes from the main beach. Just a bit dirty...
