Hotel Villa Serena San Benito

The location is in a really nice part of the city, and I felt safe walking outside in the evening. I stayed 3 nights in a spacious, clean downstairs room with a patio. The airco worked and there was warm water. Breakfast was made as requested, which was nice. There are a few parking spots, but cars are parked back to back, so you may need to move yours to let someone out. The downside is the noise from other rooms. Compared with another hotel I stayed at, it wasn’t too bad, but you can hear your neighbour poop on the toilet. I’d recommend it for a short stay.

I’ve stayed twice now, and the staff have been super friendly, attentive, and flexible. The location is perfect, with two malls, lots of restaurants, and clubs all within walking distance. Rooms are spacious and clean, and some first floor rooms have a patio, which is great for longer stays. The breakfast is delicious and fresh!!!

The hotel’s premium location is a plus, about a 10 mins walk to Zona Rosa and Tica bus station. The staff’s hospitality and politeness made the stay positive, and the cleanliness was top mark, even though the ground floor rooms are very dated. Don’t expect a 3 stars rating, it felt more like 2 stars. Book a superior room instead. The walls are tiny, and there isn’t sufficient isolation.

I was happy with the choice since I wanted a lower priced hotel and was splurging on a rental car. The location was great, it was clean, the staff were pleasant, breakfast was free, and checkout was at 12pm, probably could have even later. The shower’s hot water wasn’t great, and my room got quite loud from outside noises like fireworks and music, mostly coming from the Teatro Presidente. Parking was a bit snug.
