Mizata By Antiresort

There isn’t much around the property, so you’ll need to drive to El Tunco or elsewhere for shopping or another restaurant. On site, there’s a coffee and water station by reception, a jungle gym, sauna, cold plunge, restaurant with a varied menu, pool, and ocean views. The grounds were clean, there were lots of quiet corners for reading or relaxing, and the staff were friendly. It’s also a lovely setup for outdoor yoga. I came with a group for a yoga retreat and couldn’t imagine a better setting. I spent every night looking at the stars. The views were among the best I’ve seen from a hotel. My room faced the ocean, and the Bali-style bungalows sit among jungles and mountains with a real sense of calm. I loved the place. A few things weren’t perfect: the Wi-Fi dropped out a few times, but staff fixed it fairly quickly. The restaurant seemed short-staffed, and dinner orders for our group sometimes came with gaps of 20-30 minutes. My final bill went from $20 to $40, and I didn’t have time to check the details, so I paid. Housekeeping took the used shower towels but didn’t leave fresh ones. These inconveniences didn’t change my stay much. The people working there were friendly and clearly working hard. I’d love to come back and recommend the place.

The ceviche was a favorite, and we had tasty coffee and breakfast every morning. The quiet pool was a lovely place to relax, while the main pool was good for hanging out with people. The facilities are close together, and the location is great. We had a great time at Mizata by Antiresort. Everyone was friendly, especially Edguardo and Antonio, who helped make our stay special. It was a nice mix of social time and relaxation. This was our third trip to El Salvador, and we’d love to return to Mizata.

The temescal and fire ceremony were the highlights for me. The pools, shalas, and food were everything I could have asked for. Kevin, Hazel, and Sylvia were so welcoming and helpful, and Antonio and Edgar made the Nawi experience fantastic. Incredible place doing great work in gorgeous El Salvador. Thanks again.

Doing yoga beneath the yoga shala each morning while waves crashed nearby was an amazing experience. The staff made a huge difference to our stay: kind, warm, welcoming, and quick and helpful with requests. Edgardo and the front desk team were great, and Amalie was both knowledgeable and kind. I wish I could remember more names. The tree houses and lush grounds are beautiful, but the rooms have some practical problems. The toilet and shower spaces are open to the air at the back. Their doors have no handles on the inside, so someone outside has to close them. They also didn’t latch properly, squeaked, and blew open during the night. We had to block them with our suitcases. This was my first stay at an antiresort, and I wouldn’t have enjoyed it nearly as much without the people working there.
