Kal Nawi Hotel

The location made our tours easy, since pickups and drop-offs were simple, and there were several food options close by. At Hotel Kal Nawi, we had a lovely room with a balcony and AC that worked like a dream. The front desk staff were so kind and patient, even with our terrible Spanish.

My wife and I loved the spacious, comfortable room, the great breakfast, the clean pool, and the welcoming atmosphere at this beautiful hotel in the middle of the city. The staff were friendly and arranged all our transportation around the country, as well as giving us great food and shopping recommendations. I'm almost reluctant to write this because I worry it'll get harder to book next time people find out how awesome it is!

Right by downtown San Salvador and the iconic "Monument of the Savior of the World", this is an affordable, central spot that makes arranging local tours easy. It has complimentary breakfast, gated parking, free WiFi, A/C, TV, and the comforts you need for a good stay. The atmosphere is clean, too. A great place to stay.

This beautiful little historic hotel turned out to have everything I needed, and I had an awesome stay. Don't be put off by the outside. There are cameras throughout the hotel for guests' safety, and although it's a little hidden, it's on the main road leading to the places you might want to see in the capital. The staff were amazing and answered all my questions. I'll be back. The staff were ready to help with anything. After the rain, I asked if someone could clean the pool so I could swim. It had been cleaned that morning, but the young man at the front desk got up right then and had it ready within 15 minutes at most. He also showed me around the area. Breakfast is included. It was simple and delicious, with coffee and a great view. The hotel restaurant was closed during my stay, so I used HUGO, an app like UBEREATS/BITE/WAITR, or you can ask the front desk for suggestions. There's private parking behind the gates, so the vehicle is inside the hotel and accessible to you, not the public. For a small fee, ask the front desk to have room service take your dirty clothes for washing; they came back folded on my bed. Everything was clean, including the pool, hallway, rooms, and gym room, which had a treadmill and an elliptical. In your room, you can set the AC unit to the temperature you want.
