Cima Dorada Villa

That was the worst place we’ve stayed.

The rooms were comfortable, and the place itself was moderately nice, but it felt a bit neglected to me. The beach is a five-minute drive away. Be careful about extra charges: despite the “Pet friendly” listing, they charged up to $75 per pet, and then asked for another $100 cleaning fee even though we made sure not to leave the place dirty. There were lots of insects inside, and ants got into food quickly if we weren’t careful. The comfortable rooms were its one redeeming feature.

The house looks pretty and is big enough for 8 to 10 people, but they only allow six, with each extra person costing another $20 😂. We went for my birthday and they made it a terrible time. Management was awful, and the only friendly person was the housekeeper. The kitchen was full of insects, doors didn’t work, the gate wouldn’t close, chairs were ruined, and the refrigerator was broken. It was also completely inaccessible for elderly or disabled people. Even if the stay were free, I wouldn’t return. They charge for everything, and the pet policy was unbelievable: they were charging $3, then, coincidentally, told us that same day it was $75 per dog. Don’t bring pets, this place is not pet friendly. If it’s your last resort, go ahead, since the place is nice, but if you want to avoid a bad experience, don’t go. Their management is terrible, dishonest, and shameless. It’s a good thing the housekeeper can get this place one star.

It’s a really relaxing place, but the access road leaves a lot to be desired.
