The hotel and property are beautiful and convenient, the rooms clean and comfortable, the food on site amazing, and all the staff were very nice. If you can surf on your own and just want to rent a board and head to the beach, it’s a great place. The airport transfer costs $60 and takes about an hour, so bring water for the ride. The surf academy was a letdown. My husband and I filled in forms before arriving about our surf experience, height, and weight so they could choose a board and guide the lesson. It didn’t seem like anyone read them, because we got the same boards as the children in our group. We had some experience already, but were taught a completely different technique that wasn’t good for our progress. The instructors didn’t tell us until we got to the lesson that we wouldn’t be surfing at the beach by the hotel. They just said we could go to the van, leaving us confused about where we were going and how far, since the beach was right there. It turned out to be about a 20-minute drive, so bring water. Afterward, the instructor said we could get a drink at the restaurant because it was included in our lesson. When we asked the front desk, they said that wasn’t right.

I’d never surfed before, and after a week at this camp I’m amazed at what I managed to do. I doubted my ability, but Bauti’s coaching was awesome. The welcome and communication from Cony and the team were so generous and kind. Chelo gently and brilliantly got me started with skateboarding, and Sandra gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. The hotel is right on the beach, with stunning sunrises and sunsets. The breakfasts and setting are perfect. Camp life is relaxed but thoughtful and motivating, from turmeric and ginger shots after surfing to yoga classes that keep you surf fit. The rooms are gorgeous, with beautiful surfboard details, and there are ice baths for recovery. I could keep listing things, but honestly, this was a trip of a lifetime. 🥰

We had a great weekday experience at Puro Surf with a day pass. The views and pool are amazing, and I also took a really zen yoga class with the sound of the waves in the background. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the menu has a good range of proteins as well as vegan choices. A lovely place to relax and disconnect.

If you surf, I hope you do, the instruction here is second to none. You can make so much progress over 1-2 weeks. The service is incredible too: everyone learns your name and works to make your stay as good as possible. The rooms are gorgeous and the place itself is so nice. I can’t say enough good things.

I joined the surf camp and had an incredible experience. The rooms are nice and the staff are great, but the professionalism really stood out. Everything was so well organized, and the coaches are incredible. I made a lot of progress in just one week at puro surf. I’ll definitely be back!
