The one good thing was breakfast, though the coffee came in mugs that looked dirty. The pool was dirty too, the sheets were stained, there were lots of bugs, and the TV didn’t work. The property is run down, and the room we paid to upgrade to still wasn’t worth the price. We booked through hotels.com for $29. When we arrived, the hostess said breakfast wasn’t included as advertised and the bathrooms were outside, across the lawn. Since we’d driven over an hour, we accepted an upgrade for another $60. We should’ve guessed how things would go when we were the only guests there. At least it’s very close to the beach, and there are other places nearby. Look at those first.

The owner doesn’t maintain this hotel, and it’s in terrible shape. There’s mold on the walls, the bathroom wall is broken, the mirror is damaged, the beds are loose, and the bathtub is in very poor condition. There was nobody we could actually complain to. The caretaker just said the lady wasn’t answering. We tried calling the owner too, but got no response. We asked for a refund as soon as we saw the room and never heard back. Don’t stay here for any reason.

The grass was overgrown, the property needs maintenance, and there was no restaurant. Make sure you read the details about rooms with shared bathrooms. This place used to be good years ago, but now I’d only consider it for an hourly visit. Sorry, that’s how I feel.

We got there after an hour and a half of travel only to learn that the room we booked had no bathroom, just a public one. We refused it and asked for a better room, which they offered for an extra $40 per night. With a non-refundable booking and little time to find somewhere else, we were stuck choosing between paying too much for that room or losing the money for a room we couldn’t use. The hotel looks cute, but it wasn’t as advertised. This felt like a scam. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
