Hotel Brisas Marinas

We spent an hour waiting before cancelling our order because it was taking so long and no one would take responsibility. They could have told us right away they were out of coffee, but instead they accepted eight coffee orders, left us waiting 45 minutes, then said there was no coffee. Our family came with 12 people, so they lost the chance to serve all of us. When we complained, the only response was, “I don’t care.” It felt like a complete waste of time, and there are plenty of better places to go.

We went as a family for one day and paid more than what we got was worth. There’s a $2 entrance fee per person, then another $6 each to eat and stay in the restaurant. I ordered fried fish and was charged $2 extra for a supposedly bigger fish, though it looked smaller than a normal one. The prices are high for the amount of food. I wouldn’t recommend coming unless you’re fine with overpaying.

The view earned the two stars. The food was mediocre, and the service was slow and distant, though not outright rude. My steak came chewy and a bit pink inside. I know some people like it that way, but I don't, and nobody asked how I wanted it cooked. My friend expected a club sandwich and got a breakfast sandwich instead. We might have raised it, but staff hardly came by to check if we needed anything.

The bathroom door was missing its inside handle, so we couldn't lock it while using the room. Our reservation was also messed up, though they did partly make up for it by lowering the reservation fee. In the end, the stay was tolerable.
