The town was lovely for taking it slow, especially over New Year's. We wandered around Sochitoto on New Year's Eve, setting off fireworks with locals, and there had been a concert in the square the night before. The hotel was decorated for Christmas, which made the stay feel festive. It was my favorite place to stay in El Salvador. I love boutique hotels, and this one felt just right, with a great lake view and a reasonably priced restaurant and bar. The food and drinks were great, too. We came here to rest and relax, and the staff even arranged a massage and called a local rum distillery to see if we could tour it.

The building made the stay memorable. It's a historic colonial place, apparently more than 200 years old, restored and kept up nicely, with antiques throughout. The restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced. Wi-Fi was a bit unreliable, and a few more outlets for charging devices would have helped, though that's somewhat understandable in an older building.

The staff were so welcoming, and the hospitality was exceptional. I stayed at seven different places on a recent trip to El Salvador, and this was easily my favorite. Set in a beautiful historic property in a charming colonial town, with cobblestone streets and an unhurried pace, it felt like a real jewel. There’s so much to say about the place and the people who work there.

The building itself is beautiful, and we had a really nice time. We came to get out of the daytime heat and relax. The garden was lovely, the espresso drinks were nice, and there was a good menu.

The gardens were full of flowers, the pool was so refreshing, and the food was super awesome. Great service and friendly staff, too. Best place I've ever stayed in suchito, perfect spot, and I'd definitely come back!
