Kaleo Hotel Boutique

My room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were friendly. They helped with restaurant suggestions and airport transfers, too. I had a great stay at Kaleo and would happily return. I recommend it if you’re visiting San Salvador.

The room was clean and breakfast was good, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. When we opened the door, there was a strong air freshener smell throughout the room that gave me a headache right away. Green tarp covered the windows from outside, so hardly any daylight came in. Repair work also made it hard to rest in the afternoon. We stayed two nights.

We were happy with the kind staff, the great cleaning team, and the tasty breakfasts. The location was convenient for walking to other places in San Benito where the other wedding guests were staying, and it was quiet all day. Laundry was quick, taking only a couple of hours, and charged per clothing item. We also got a late checkout for an easy 20 USD. We stayed five nights while visiting from Canada and would absolutely return. A couple of drawbacks: the Wi-Fi was slow, and our room had no sunlight because we didn’t have a balcony room. Both windows faced either the public hallway or another room.

Our room was small and had no windows, but it was spotless, and the location was great. We got lost a couple of times trying to reach the busy area. At check-in, they gave us a drink coupon. The staff were helpful, too. When we were running short on time for the Santa Ana excursion and couldn’t eat breakfast, they kindly packed us a cheese and jam sandwich. I’d probably come back.
