The view from my room was spectacular, and having a one-bedroom setup was nice, though the sofa was too hard for me. The bathroom is so tight that the wall is right in front of you on the toilet. The water was unpredictable: sometimes slow, sometimes fast, and often cold. I managed one hot shower; the rest were freezing. Room service is available, but I didn’t try it. There’s plenty of security, and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The front desk was just so-so. I got much better service at the Intercontinental.

The breakfast buffet was phenomenal, and the rooms were clean. My shower started out cold, but they moved me to another room and everything was fine there. The setting is beautiful, and the lobby is nice.

The apartment has plenty of space, and the employees were outstanding in their service and courtesy. The place itself needs a full update, though. It feels neglected and dated, from the stained, worn carpet to the rusty bathtub with mold along its edges. The bathroom is less than four feet wide and really tight to move around in. The old Amana window air conditioners were very noisy, and most of their directional flaps were missing.

The buffet breakfast was delicious every day, and our room was cleaned spotless each day. Roberto and Jonathan made everything easy, answered all our questions and concerns, and translated for us whenever we needed it. They really made us feel like family. Every staff member was amazing, and I wish I could give this place ten stars instead of five.

This was my second stay, and I’d recommend the hotel to anyone visiting El Salvador. The bathroom was too small, and the toilet seat wasn’t fitted properly, but those were my only complaints. I’m planning to stay here again on my next trip.
