Hostal Casa Luna

Carlos helped us sort out activities for our family when we hadn’t had time to plan before the trip. He gave us good recommendations and found a great driver and tour guide. The location was handy, and we spent time exploring the markets. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the little pool was nice. Everyone working there was friendly and gave great service. We also used the laundry, and breakfast was a helpful start to the day. Best hostel I’ve stayed at.

We did the volcano hike through the hostal, and it was smooth and fun. The place is central for exploring Santa Ana, with the markets, Art School ruins, and central plaza nearby. It’s a quiet, no-party spot with a solid staff. I enjoyed the daily breakfasts, the rooms and hostal were very clean, and the pool was lovely.

Casa Verde was a great place to stay. It’s near the mercados and bus stops, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast a couple of times. Thanks, everyone! 💕

The street-facing doors made me wonder what I’d gotten into when we first arrived, but inside there’s a thoughtfully arranged layout for a comfortable stay at a decent price. Our private room and bathroom were a good size, with shelves and plenty of hot water. The AC worked well, and the pool was very welcome in the heat. We also liked the restaurant, especially the pasta. Carlos was accommodating and let us leave our bags while we did the ruta de Flores. This is the only place you need in Santa Ana.
