Hotel Remfort

The parking was convenient, and the attendants were friendly. We asked to move to a quieter room, and that did help with the traffic noise. But that room looked onto a staff walkway and was beside the laundry area, so there was no privacy. The first room faced a busy street with nonstop honking, and sleep was nearly impossible. It only had sheets on the bed, so we had to ask for blankets. The bathroom felt cramped, breakfast was skimpy, and the front desk offered almost no amenities. Very basic stay, with little comfort for guests.

Breakfast had a wide selection and was very good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The bed was as hard as a rock, whichever way you look at it. I heard a little thump of music every night. For other meals, the closest restaurant is in the city center, about a 6-8 minute walk.

The one good thing was breakfast, which was tasty and started at 6:30am. Beyond that, this hotel seems run down and like it may once have been nice. The rooms are worn and damaged, haven't been updated in ages, and smelled musty. The shower flooded every time, and staff didn't fix it when I reported the problem. They also said they didn't know the bus schedules when I asked. There wasn't even water provided at breakfast.

The included breakfast was fresh and tasty, and our bed was comfortable in a very spacious room. We were there last week on a visit to Santa Ana, and the place was clean, nice, and well cared for. The staff were professional, courteous, and really friendly. A fun extra was hearing mariachis serenade us from the Puma gas station across the street.
