Sheraton Aleppo

The city center location puts Aleppo citadel nearby, with restaurants and the market on the next street. The room, food, service, and the rest were good enough.

For about the same price, this is way better than any other hotel in Aleppo. I'd highly recommend it.

Service is good, and the location is right in the middle of alepoo. Just avoid a room facing the Main Street, because it's really noisy.

The location worked well for me: it's central, with plenty to see nearby. I got up early and walked across the street to look around. I was also told the hotel was built on ruins, which shocked me. I hope nothing important was destroyed during construction. The room was spacious and clean, with nothing to complain about there. It would have been nice to have cups and a kettle. I was quite impressed overall. Even though Sheraton Aleppo is locally managed now after the US sanctions, the standards were still pretty high and reminded me of staying at an actual Marriott hotel. Downstairs, the main lobby is grand and brightly lit, though the wooden furnishings look a little dated. There's a large seating area and a bar, plus quite a few shops. I also saw Cham Air had an office there. I checked out the gym, which is small but seemed well equipped. Finding the pool wasn't easy, and when I did, it wasn't in use. The water left in it had turned green. Breakfast was okay, though the range of items could be much better. It may be challenging for foreigners since nearly everything on display was local food. I was fine as long as there was bread and eggs. It was a good stay and one of the better ones I've had in Syria. I'd recommend it for a short visit, even if it's not the best.
