Grand Homs

I checked out after just two hours and won't book here again. The rooms were dirty and poorly serviced, and there were no tissues or towels. When I asked for towels, they brought one that was very dirty and said, "we have only this at this time." There was no electricity apart from one generator-powered socket, so even using the fan or TV meant connecting it there. The elevators only worked when staff connected them, so I had to ask whenever I needed to use one. Worst hotel I've stayed in.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. The hotel has electricity around the clock, but there's no air conditioning. The rooms need a lot of attention, especially the bathrooms.

The bathroom was missing working lights, there was no hot water in the shower, and we only had one towel. We even had to move a bulb from the bedroom into the bathroom because the hotel had no spares. Power wasn't available all the time, and when it was, the AC still didn't seem to work and likely needed maintenance. The room itself was a lower tier than the one we had reserved, yet we were charged 50% more than the reservation price. They said the suite we'd booked had been released because they expected me to call and confirm, though that isn't normally required. They didn't even call before giving it away. I'd strongly advise against staying here. Book well in advance so you can find availability somewhere else. I've stayed twice, and neither visit was great; the second was pretty bad. To the hotel management, please honor reservations and keep the rooms maintained at least minimally. I know it's hot outside, but showering in cold water isn't comfortable. Please consider fixing the hot water.

The breakfast was very basic. The place is really old and needs renovation.
