Mac Atini Guest House

The Family Room’s shared bathroom is out in the passage, so you share it with other guests, and the toilet was stained. The place needs serious maintenance: it smells bad, my sinuses suffered as soon as I went in, and the furniture is old and worn down. The room itself was somewhat clean, but everything else was a mess. We got there at 5 and waited half an hour at the gate because the staff were already “off,” even though check-in is listed as 2pm-9pm. We were visiting from another country and had no phone network. Luckily, a neighbour called reception for us because nobody was attending the intercom, despite them knowing we were coming. When we asked for tea, they brought a tray and kettle and put them on the floor, where the kettle had to be plugged in under a table. In the morning I asked to put my medication in the fridge. The woman said we weren’t allowed to use it, then came into our room carrying a bar fridge that wasn’t cold. I wouldn’t stay there again, even for free.

It felt like home away from home, with friendly, capable staff and food that was always on point, especially the chicken and dessert. I’ll definitely recommend the place to friends and family. One small breakfast suggestion: freshly baked scones, rolls, or biscuits would go nicely with the daily bread. Keep it up, guys!!!!!😎🤩 I stayed from 22 to 29 September.

The employees were very helpful and even had to apologize for the owners, who were rude and unfriendly. We had breakfast in the kitchen, and our rooms had no towels or waste bins. We paid for four-star accommodation but didn’t get it. We were charged the same price for the children’s room and the owners’ bedroom, and neither had a TV. The pictures looked stunning, so this was a disappointment. I’d like to know how this place got its 6 star rating.

Surrounded by nature, this is a very clean, peaceful place to unwind, with friendly staff ready to help. Give it a try and you won’t regret staying here.
