The property was clean and reasonably priced for an expensive Caribbean island, but I wouldn’t stay here again. The bed was the hardest I’ve ever slept on, like a stack of boards, and I woke up with bumps and welts on my arms and legs from some kind of bug. There’s no iron in the room, either. At night, walking to the room felt unsafe. The property is behind a restaurant, and I had the sense someone was watching me. I asked the housekeeper not to service my room, but there are no privacy signs to put on the door. After an excursion, I could tell someone had gone through my suitcase, and some cosmetics were missing. I was glad I’d taken my jewelry case with me. There is a room safe, but I wouldn’t trust it. The photos also gave the wrong impression: you step straight outside when you open the door. It’s a motel. The desk is staffed only from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and there’s no room phone. For help outside those hours, you’re on your own; otherwise you have to walk to the office. On my last day, the water stopped working. I waited for the desk to open so they could turn it back on, and nobody even apologized. I understand the rooms are priced to make the islands accessible, but peace of mind matters. I’d spend a little more on somewhere else nearby. This place isn’t worth it. Zero stars, do not recommend.

I arrived expecting very little, but found this to be a fantastic value. The room was clean, comfortable, modernly furnished, and only a three-minute walk from the beach. The staff were pleasant, the pool was nice and very clean, and the whole property was tidy. The rooms seem to have been updated, and the furniture didn’t feel dated. There’s no room service, swim-up bar, free breakfast, or gym. Still, for a solo traveler, a family on a budget, or anyone watching their spending, I think it’s a great alternative. I never felt unsafe or uneasy. You can walk to the beach in front of the Ritz and eat at the same restaurants. My room cost about one-fifth of what my friends paid for a week at the resort across the road. One thing to know: the popular sports bar next door has karaoke Tuesdays and Thursdays until 12:30. You can ask for a room on the other side, though I didn’t find the noise much of an issue. I’d actually suggest checking out the bar. It has casino games, the owners seem to care about the place, and we had good fun.

Our family of five had an excellent room, and the front desk staff were very helpful. They changed our itinerary without any hassle.

The first thing we noticed at check-in was a horrible smell. The room was filthy, as if nobody had cleaned it after the previous guests. There were stains on the sheets, dead bugs and black dirt across the floors, and mold in the bathroom. The AC didn’t work, and the cabinets, furniture, and TV were marked and sticky. The walls were damaged, with “paintings” placed over holes and chipped paint. This did not feel new or updated at all, and it came across as a motel despite the price. We asked for a refund so we could leave, but were told there was no manager. We were shown two other rooms, both in similarly bad condition. We booked another hotel the day we arrived and left without staying. Since then, we’ve called the front desk day after day trying to reach a manager. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the person there said the manager would be in the next day. The next day, we were told again that she wasn’t there and to call tomorrow. The owner has changed their response to my review and has no intention of making this right. We want a refund because we didn’t stay. Expedia told us they would remove the listing from their site. This place takes people’s money while travel companies advertise it without showing what it’s really like.

The grounds are well kept, and the pool was clean and pleasant. Our room was clean and serviced daily, though some hooks in the bathroom for towels would have helped. Staff at the front desk were friendly, but the desk has limited hours, so get ice before 8 p.m. It’s in the lobby, which closes then. The location is central and only a three-minute walk from the beach. It’s behind Danny's Buoy and can be a little hard to find if you haven’t been there before.
