Venetian Breeze

I spent a week at Venetian Breeze in July 2025, just enjoying the calm surroundings and getting away from real life. I fell for the islands so much that I’ve moved here.

I was charged the full amount for my Dec 20 to 27, 2025 reservation on February 19, 223 days before the stay. Maybe that’s how Expedia/VRBO works, but my booking was then suddenly cancelled on May 1, 2025, with nonpayment given as the reason. That claim was completely made up. The woman who handled the reservation can’t be trusted. She cancelled it to raise the fee, pure and simple. Unethical business.

I stayed in a studio apartment for 11 days. It was spacious, with a comfortable double bed, a kitchen with a coffee machine and kettle, a dining counter, and a sitting area with enough furniture. The property has both long and short stays, and there’s free on-site parking. I expected the sheets and towels to be changed and the room cleaned at least once during a stay of that length, but it didn’t happen. It’s also not very close to the main town, so you’ll need a car to get around.

The facilities look nice, but the property is advertised under different names on several booking platforms. My reservation was cancelled at very short notice, even though I’d booked two months ahead. I only found out while boarding the plane and had half an hour to arrange somewhere else. There were clearly no real options, and I lost a lot of money. It was a stressful way to start my vacation.
