Villa Renaissance Grace Bay

We loved being right on the main strip of Grace Bay, with restaurants within walking distance and no need to rent a car. The beach and turquoise water are gorgeous, it never felt too crowded, and we could always find chairs. The front desk also supplied beach towels. For breakfast we liked getting Açaí bowls from crest and berry, and our favorite dinners included The Farm, Coco Bistro, Thai Orchid, and Caicos cafe. It’s about a 20-minute cab ride from the airport. Our family stayed in Villa 307, a two-bedroom, two-bath suite, with my husband, our four-month-old son, and my parents. It was clean, in great shape, and housekeeping came daily with fresh towels. The balcony overlooking the palms and water was lovely, and my son enjoyed sitting out there. The pool was beautiful, warm, and very clean, and he liked floating in it. We also enjoyed the bar drinks, especially the painkillers and pina coladas, and the lunch food from nearby Blu was a pleasant surprise. Try the jerk fish sandwich. Having a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and extra room for baby gear made things easier. They provided a full-size crib, which took up a lot of space and was deep enough that my husband had to lift our son in and out because I’m too short to reach. A mini crib might work better. The bed frames creaked loudly when we rolled over and sometimes woke the baby, though the beds were comfortable. The smoke detector’s bright flashing light bothered us at night, but the SlumberPod over the crib helped. I compared nearby places such as Seven Stars, the Ritz, and Grace Bay Club, and Villa Renaissance offered the best value and quality for a family. We would have paid double elsewhere. We’ll most certainly be back.

Villa 602 at Villa Renaissance was our favorite of the different places we’ve stayed on the island over multiple visits. Our two-bedroom, two-bath garden-view villa had a lovely setup, including a beautifully decorated interior, a full kitchen with the essentials, and a washer and dryer. The big two-level patio had a dining table on each level, so we had coffee and breakfast outside every day. We rented a car and appreciated being able to pull right up to unload groceries and bags. There’s a pool bar with lunch options, and the villa is close to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores.

The place was clean, well cared for, and in a convenient spot, with a pool and the beach right across from it. I’d happily return. Definitely recommend it, it was worth it.

We’re back for our third stay and still love it. Our unit had two bedrooms and two and a half baths, with an updated interior, a good-sized kitchen stocked for cooking dinner, and a beautiful balcony facing the beach. The resort is quiet and right on the beach, but plenty of restaurants are an easy walk away. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there are loungers and umbrellas set up on the beach, plus pool floats and sand toys.
