Windsong Oceanfront Villa

The new building’s Junior Suite was beautiful, and the whole stay was amazing. My husband and I came to celebrate his birthday, and Windsong exceeded what we expected. The staff made it special. Ruth and the front desk team were lovely, Garey and the other butler were wonderful, and Winston at the café and Kelly with water activities were great. The water is unbelievable, with stunning reefs 🪸 and so many fish. We also loved the new rooftop and the chef, and manager Annette was spectacular. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience.

The employees, especially around the beach and pool, were wonderful, and anything we needed for the room arrived quickly. Most things were great and felt luxurious, but the food is what cost it a star. Breakfast is included, but it doesn’t feel like breakfast at a luxury resort. At these prices, a decent latte seems like a fair expectation. Maybe that sounds spoiled, but it’s a small detail that stood out.

Windsong has become our family’s Thanksgiving tradition. We’ve been back every year for seven years with our two grandkids, and it keeps exceeding our expectations. The staff are warm and attentive, and our suites are always spotless and comfortable for a multigenerational trip. Being right on Grace Bay is hard to beat, with Bight Reef just offshore and easy to reach for snorkeling with the kids. We can’t recommend it enough.

The service at breakfast was the worst part of our stay. We weren’t greeted, acknowledged, or seated, and staff repeatedly walked by without making eye contact. After waiting more than 30 minutes for a receipt that never came, we asked about the bill. A female staff member wearing a black cap answered rudely and confrontationally, and raised her voice. We were also sent to a table by the bathroom even though there were open tables near the bar and main dining area. It was completely unprofessional and unpleasant. Our room was acceptable, if nothing special, but the shower water was consistently cold and there was a strange smell near the toilet. The food was mediocre at best and didn’t match the resort prices. Windsong also isn’t close to the main Grace Bay town area, so you need transportation to reach restaurants and shops. We ate at other nearby resorts and had much better service and hospitality. This hotel uses immigrants from nearby islands and have zero clue about service or hospitality. Nearby hotels have dedicated staff from civilized countries with incredible service. For couples wanting a relaxing vacation, I’d look elsewhere. Grace Bay Club or another higher-end option may cost more, but the difference in service and experience is worth it. We wouldn’t return to Windsong or recommend it to anyone expecting true resort-level hospitality.
