We spent only half a day at the resort and went to other parts of the island for the rest of the trip. It wasn’t what we expected despite doing a lot of research. The condo itself was very nice, and the beach was quiet with a clean, nice pool. But the resort is really far from everything, reached by a very bumpy dirt road. We were glad we’d rented a Jeep. Restaurant hours were unreliable, and the gate keypad often failed, so we had to enter our code several times. We stayed 7/17-7/2.

From our second-floor condo, we had an amazing view and a constant sea breeze. The pool area was immaculate, and staff were kind. The resort is secluded, but we felt safe throughout the week, and appreciated the night guard, though we’d still have felt perfectly safe without him. The restaurant wasn’t open during our visit, so I can’t comment on it. My wife and I recommend this for anyone wanting a private vacation who doesn’t mind a roughly 20-minute drive to town.

The condo was beautifully decorated and very clean, and our host Noelle was amazing. We loved the huge, nearly empty pool and the hot tub was properly hot. It’s a gated resort with an on-site restaurant serving great food and drinks from 1-8pm. We especially liked the Dominican coffee. Ask Yanneris to make you a cup. Oceanscape B1-101 was a peaceful escape from the crowds. Yes, it’s on the other side of the island, but we rented a car and everything we wanted to do was within a 20-minute drive. We’ll stay here again and again!

The beach was heavenly, quiet and natural, scattered with conch shells and lapped by beautiful blue water. It’s the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen, and we loved it so much we’re going back in July. The pool area was clean, beautiful and inviting. Our condo was lovely and had everything we needed to feel at home. The restaurant had good food and a bar, and the staff were friendly. Manager Lisa answered all our questions right away. We found the quiet, secluded escape we wanted at Northwest Point Resort, well away from the Grace Bay tourist activity. It’s remote, so you’ll need a car. Call Tashy at Rent a Buggy, she was great and delivered the car to us. Bring cash, since people on the island prefer US Dollars and some give discounts for cash. There are cash and carry grocery and liquor stores, as well as pricier shops that take cards. The restaurant and bar close at 7, so plan accordingly. It’s about 20 minutes from the bustle of Grace Bay, and the drive is worth it for the peace and quiet.

The sunrise from our balcony was the highlight, and both the ocean view and pool area were lovely. Our condo was beautiful, and Lisa, the owner we rented from, went out of her way to make sure we were having a good time. Getting there does mean renting a car, but I’d happily stay again.
