The room on the beach side was a dream, spacious and beautifully designed, and I loved the hotel and staff. It’s a bit far from the city, but the setting is so calm and cozy. The fan only has one speed, and it was too strong for me to sleep under. Clear information about services would help too, such as breakfast hours and a menu. Once, after 8:30, I had to find someone to open the kitchen and make coffee. I had a great stay otherwise and would love to return. The reason I gave two stars is that it’s now been exactly a month of erratic back-and-forth with the hotel over a refund for a night I didn’t stay. They canceled my reservation by mistake, but still haven’t reimbursed me, and it’s been really difficult to get the matter resolved.

The owner is charming and a wonderful host, and the whole guest house turned out beautifully. It’s built entirely with local materials, including mud bricks that help keep the interior cool. Local artists and craftspeople decorated the inside. I highly recommend this amazing place.

The rooms look lovely, but the sheets weren’t very clean, possibly because of humidity. The sink wasn’t working properly, and the showerhead was broken. Breakfast service was limited, and we had to ask for more bread and coffee. At 7 pm the kitchen was already closing, and we could only choose one dish.

Marianne, the owner, is so warm and hospitable. I had a lovely weekend there, and she invited my partner and me to the on-site BBQ, with drinks and dessert. The complimentary breakfast was the icing on the cake. I really liked the architecture too, and I’ll visit again.

A peaceful, private boutique hotel tucked away in Baguida, like a little piece of paradise. Marianne, the Swiss host, is incredibly welcoming, and her morning yoga is so enticing.
