The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always there when needed, and the whole community felt open and welcoming. The location was amazing, and the food and drinks were incredibly delicious. It’s the cleanest and best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything made the visit unforgettable, and I’d happily come back anytime. Highly recommend it to everyone! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I care most about getting good sleep after a full day out, so the beds brought this down to 3/5 for me. They were extremely hard, the pillows were very thin, and shifting around made the metal bed frame noisy enough to wake the whole room. The hostel itself is great, though. The downstairs social area is comfortable, the kitchen is free to use, staff are really friendly, and the rooms are very clean and cleaned daily.

Everyone was relaxed and I slept peacefully each night, which was a relief after reading other hostel reviews about noise and loud guests. The family who runs the place is kind and loves cats. On my first day, a cute cat named Elly greeted me wearing a dress 😂. They also offer tours and motorbike rental, and there’s a cafe in the lobby. At check-in they ask for a 300 baht deposit, so bring cash. I stayed 4 nights, and it was one of my best decisions. Hotels and hostels were getting expensive in January, and it was hard to find something within budget. I found this place on Agoda and booked the whole stay for 73 USD, which was a great deal. My standard private room had a single bed. It was simple but comfortable, with a spacious, clean room and a bed and pillows that were neither too hard nor too soft. One small issue: my room wasn’t cleaned at all. When I asked for it to be cleaned, they didn’t seem to understand. I still loved the place and recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable stay in Ao Nang. I was sick and feeling rough at checkout, and the receptionist was so kind and concerned, telling me I seemed to have a fever.

The people you meet at Alpha have a way of becoming connections you keep wherever you go. I stayed for four months because I just couldn’t bring myself to leave. The staff felt like family, the food was delicious and affordable, and it’s easily the best hostel I’ve stayed in. It really became a second home 🔥
