Aonang Guesthouse

Tin was in touch before we arrived to ask about our timing, and his English is excellent. He’s organized, shares the information you need ahead of time, and made us feel at ease before we even got to Aonang. He also had useful suggestions for food, places to visit, and trips. My wife and I were really impressed with @Aonang Guesthouse. The modern room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked well. You can walk to the beach and nearby restaurants, including a good one next door, or get around easily by Bolt or Grab. We’d happily recommend staying here.

Tin made the place feel welcoming and social, and he’s quick to reply with advice. He has recommendations on-site and arranged my excursion and ferry to Koh Lanta, which was really convenient. The location is peaceful at night but still close to the main road, with an easy 20-minute walk to the beach. The facilities include a pool, scooter rental, and a common room with a kitchenette. I stayed in the 8-bed dorm, where the beds are spaced apart for privacy and there are three locker sizes. It has two private bathrooms that were cleaned every day, and the bedding was very comfortable. The whole guesthouse is modern, thoughtfully designed, and spotless. Probably the best guesthouse I’ve stayed in. I’ll definitely be back!

We rented scooters and got our laundry done right there, so the practical stuff was easy. Tin and his wife were lovely, and they even helped us look for a particular Thai dish we wanted to try and shared great suggestions for our next stop in Chiang Mai. My husband and I spent 3 nights at @Aonang Guesthouse and wished we’d booked more. Thanks for such a great stay! :)

I slept surprisingly well in the 8-bed dorm. The bunks are roomy and private, and as a light sleeper I was comfortable. Each guest gets three lockers, so there’s plenty of room for belongings, and there are two bathrooms in the dorm, which meant almost no waiting. The internet was fast, the air-conditioning and water heater both worked great, and the property was kept very clean. Tin and CC were helpful throughout and made sure I was comfortable. Honestly, it felt like home, and the experience was better than at plenty of luxury resorts I’ve stayed in. I’ve been telling everyone about it and would come back without hesitation.
