Baan Sawan Resort

We had to stay an extra night, and the owners, Thongpool and Svein, really looked after our family. They went above and beyond for their guests. We loved the clean, quiet, comfortable rooms, the strong air conditioning, and the refreshing, clean pool. For a larger family visiting Ao Nang and Krabi, this was excellent value with great accommodations. It’s a bit off the beaten path, as we knew from other reviews, but still less than ten minutes from everything Ao Nang has to offer. The hourly shuttle to Ao Nang was great, and after-hours rides were available for a reasonable price. Wanchai, the driver, is a wonderful person. His wife and baby daughter often came along, and his wife speaks good English and helped arrange reasonably priced outings. All in all, we loved this resort and hope to return.

The resort’s free shuttle is helpful, since the nearest shops and restaurants aren’t right nearby. It’s about a half-kilometer walk to the main road. We enjoyed our stay in this peaceful place and found the hospitality very good.

There’s a decent-sized pool with a separate shallow section for kids, plus plenty of sunbeds for working on your tan. The staff are super friendly, the food is really good, and the resort is beautiful and peaceful, with lots of greenery between the spacious, clean, tidy bungalows. It’s a lovely little place near Khlong Haeng market.

A comfortable bungalow-style resort with good privacy. The pool stays open until 10 pm. Just be careful if you can’t swim, as one end is deeper than the other.
