Having a 7-eleven right next door was handy, and the hotel offers a free ride somewhere each day. Ao Nang beach is easy to reach. Walking takes around 40-50 minutes, with a pleasant stretch for most of the way once you’re past the busy road, about 5-10 minutes in. When our ride dropped us off, I wasn’t expecting much. But the atmosphere, room, pool, and great staff all pleasantly surprised me.

The landlady was adorable and really helpful, and all the staff were so welcoming and kind. Bida Daree Resort is in a great spot, not too crowded, with a 7/11 right next door. Their tuktuk can take you to the popular beach spots anytime from 8 to 8. I had a great time.

A few downsides: the staff only understand English one word at a time, it’s beside a busy road, and the walls are thin. Breakfast was just okay. Still, it’s clean and low cost, with a nice atmosphere and garden. The free tuktuk to the beach was handy, they provide water daily, and the AC didn’t blow straight on us.

A great, private place to stay near ao nang, with no crowds. There’s a nice restaurant and a 7 Elevan right next door.

Our rooms were beside the road, so it got quite noisy at night. The rooms themselves were clean and serviceable, and the pool area was nice, but the bathroom didn’t drain very well.
