Chada Thai Village Resort

The location is a bit away from the lively road leading to Ao Nang beach, which may suit anyone wanting quiet. It also means walking a few hundred metres even for a quick trip to 7Eleven. Service was slow. We asked for an extra towel to bathe our child, but it never arrived. One morning our child was asleep, so we asked the staff to pack just one croissant. They wanted us to pay for the small one, which wasn't very fresh. We stayed in Grand Executive rooms, which were quite big, but the property feels old. The window between the room and washroom makes no sense to me, and the single rotating door between the shower and toilet area leaves ZERO PRIVACY.

The resort had lots of greenery and good-sized rooms. The swimming pools were awesome, and breakfast was plentiful. The reception staff were helpful and arranged ferry travel to Phuket for us. It’s close to good restaurants and walkable to Ao Nang landmark night market. The beach is about a 20-minute walk away.

Breakfast was good, with plenty of variety, and the second-floor rooms worked nicely for families. The hotel is in a quiet location with a nice pool area for kids. But the pool needs renovation: the larger slide was rusty and its railing was broken, and there were lots of broken tiles and seams. 4/5 for now, and it could be better after renovation.

Our room was quiet and far from the hotel lobby, but the staircase was very dark at night. In some places you couldn't see the steps, and the hotel needs to add more lighting. There are a lot of stairs, so I wouldn't recommend it for older people or families with small children. My wife found the hotel toilet lobby very dirty. The lobby should meet a basic standard of cleanliness. If it's that dirty, it makes you wonder about how well the rooms are cleaned too.
