We booked two nights at The Lucky Beach Ao Nang through Agoda but left after the first, then had to find somewhere else to stay. The room had a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom, making the whole place unpleasant, and it didn't look properly cleaned. We raised it at reception right away. The receptionist was rude and hostile, and didn't try to fix the problem or offer another room. That evening, we were told we'd have to leave the next day. When we checked out, the hotel wouldn't handle the refund and said to deal with Agoda. We had paid for two nights but stayed only one. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had: poor service, bad room conditions, and no willingness to help. There are many better hotels in Ao Nang. I strongly recommend booking elsewhere and avoiding this place.

The convenient location was a plus, with the beach nearby, a shop close to the hotel, and a laundry service right next door. The hotel itself was basic and clean, but calling it “luxury” is far from accurate. We stayed in a suite beside the driveway, and for all five days it was almost impossible to sleep at night because of the extremely loud noise. When we asked to change rooms, that wasn't possible. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, and the towels were worn out.

The location is out of the way, far from AO Nang beach, with nothing to roam around or do nearby. We booked five rooms for about INR 60000, and it wasn't worth the price. It doesn't feel like even a one-star property, more like a PG facility. The staff weren't welcoming. They made faces and murmured in front of us, and were rude and uncooperative when we paid 600 Bhatt for an hour of kitchen access. They were reluctant to share utensils, as if they were giving them away for free. They didn't understand even English, and there was nobody to carry our luggage, so we had to take it to our rooms ourselves. The AC and furniture weren't properly maintained. I wouldn't recommend it for Indians.

We found a used syringe with visible traces of blood on the bedside table as soon as we entered the room. That's a serious health risk and showed a complete lack of proper cleaning and safety checks. We reported it immediately and left because we didn't feel safe there. The staff's response made things worse. Up to that point, communication in English had been regular and clear. When we asked for a refund, they suddenly claimed they couldn't speak English, shut down the computer, and cut off communication, avoiding any discussion. That was dishonest, highly unprofessional, and deliberately obstructive in response to a serious safety complaint. I strongly advise avoiding this property. Its hygiene and staff conduct fall well below any acceptable minimum for a safe tourist stay.

We left after just one night, even though we had five more nights booked. Other people in the reviews seem to have done the same. The owner refused to refund any of the cancelled nights. It's the worst “3 star” hotel I've ever seen. What really makes it bad is management and staff's indifference and refusal to solve problems. There are much nicer hotels in Ao Nang for the same price or less. The room had blood-stained sheets, a blocked bathroom sink, and dirty floors. We might not have minded those things on their own, but the noise and the response to it were unacceptable. Four drunk guests on the floors below us screamed and shouted in the hallways and on their balcony until 4am. Their room alarms kept going off until then too. We asked reception for help at 10pm, but the receptionist went home instead. No one was there until 8am. Once the alarms stopped, the main road right outside was ridiculously loud. There is no sound-proofing. We finally spoke to someone at reception the next morning, and they were completely indifferent, telling us to wait until 2pm for their boss. We got him on the phone, but he just hung up. We'd already lost a full night's sleep and weren't going to waste a day of our trip dealing with this place when we should've been having fun.
